Home Game Credentials
Credentials will be issued on a single-game basis. Please take a moment to read through the information below before completing your credential application:
Credential Guidelines
- Credentials are only for media outlets that need matchday Press Box and/or Field access to produce editorial coverage, not to watch the match. This includes newspapers, TV, radio, and legitimate digital websites that produce consistent and professional content adhering to accepted journalistic principles.
- Credential applications must be submitted via the portal no later than 48 hours before kickoff of the requested match.
- Media members must sit in the press box.
- Media members will not have field access unless granted by a member of the Communications Department.
- Applications from freelance writers, photographers or videographers must come from a direct supervisor validating professional and editorial need for media access. All applications using a personal email address, such as Gmail or Hotmail, must provide validation from their outlet.
- Photographers will be required to shoot from designated areas on the field.
Post-Match Field Access
- NYCFC does not permit post-match field access for player interviews at home or on the road, except if you have contacted our Communications Department prior to the game.
Post-Match Press Conference
- New York City Football Club will conduct a hybrid post-match press conference 10 minutes after the final whistle with Interim Head Coach Nick Cushing.
- Print & Digital Media Members will be allowed to sit in the main press conference room and ask questions.
- No photographers are allowed in the press conference.
Post-Match Locker Room Availability
- The Home locker room is open to Print & Digital Media Members 15 minutes after the final whistle.
- Media is allowed to approach any player and request to speak with them. The player has the right to accept or decline any request.
- Media are required to wear masks inside the locker room at all times.
- Visting Team: If you’d like to enter the Visiting team locker room or would like to speak to a player, please place a request with Esteban Camino
Away Game Credential
If a media member would like to cover the team on the road, you must contact the home team’s Communications Department to request a credential.

Media Attire & Professionalism
- While on assignment whether it be at a match, or the training facility, please dress professionally
- No jerseys or team representation of any kind.
- Media members may only report on or capture information during designated media areas and media access time.
- You may not make any personal use of this credential or the stadium/facility/event access conferred by your credential, including requesting autographs and taking photographs.
- Failure to follow these guidelines can result in the revocation of your credential and future access to NYCFC matches, trainings and events.
Open Training Media Access
Prior to arrival
- Open training will take place once a week, for the media schedule please visit our ‘Weekly Media Availability Schedule’ section. Please note dates & times are subject to change
- New York City Football Club (NYCFC) trains at the Etihad City Football Academy New York (CFA) located at 280 Old Orangeburg Road, Orangeburg, NY 10962
- If you’d like to attend Open Training, media members must RSVP by emailing Esteban.camino@nycfc.com by 9pm the night before Open Training.
- Media must arrive at the training facility no later than 10:45am and must check in at the front desk.
- If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have been around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, PLEASE STAY HOME.
Upon Arrival
- Media members must arrive prior to 10:45am and check in at the front desk.
- Parking will be available when you arrive to the training facility.
- Media will be allowed to watch the full training session and speak to Interim Head Coach Nick Cushing and select First Team players post-training.
- NO PICTURES OR VIDEOS ALLOWED, unless approved by a member of the Communications Department.
Media Location
- Media will be located in designated positions on the concrete walkway in the front corner of the field where they can watch training and conduct interviews with Head Coach and select First Team players.
- Media will only have access to a gated area outside, as well as the lobby of CFA when you first walk into the facility.
Requesting an Interview
- All interviews for NYCFC players, coaches, executives, and staff MUST be coordinated through the Communications Department.
- Contacting players directly – including through social media platforms – could result in the revocation of credentials and future access.
- Interview requests can be submitted to Esteban.camino@nycfc.com
Interview access: Players
- During the regular season, select players will be made available in a scrum setting during Open Training on a weekly basis at the Club’s training facility.
- Additional players may be available for interviews during the MLS mandated media availability portion of Open Training, with advanced notice.
- Please note only verified credentialed media will be granted interview access.
- Media members with interview requests post-Open Training at CFA are asked to be submitted 24 hours in advance to Esteban.camino@nycfc.com
Interview Access: Head Coach
- During the regular season, Head Coach will be available to media on Open Training days, as noted by the team’s weekly training calendar.
- Head coaches can be made available for one-on-one interviews on an ad hoc basis. To request an interview please contact Esteban Camino (Esteban.camino@nycfc.com)

Pre-Match Press Conferences
- The pre-match press conference will take typically place two days before matchday and will feature Interim Head Coach Nick Cushing and a NYCFC First Team player.
- The press conference are fully remote and conducted via Zoom.
- The date & time of the press conference are subject to change.
