The second annual 24-Hour Game, hosted by NYCFC and presented by Degree Deodorant, is now well underway at Rockefeller Center. The fans are gathering to watch Team Ring and Team Maxi square off in a long head-to-head competition that will go on until 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
Last year, over 700 New Yorkers participated in the event, as over half a million attendees watched on as 797 total goals were scored.
“For the second year in a row, NYCFC will be at the heart of the five boroughs to rally the City and bring New Yorkers together around soccer.” CEO of NYCFC, Brad Sims, said. "We have the privilege of representing The City That Never Sleeps – so we are harnessing the energy of New York City by hosting our annual 24-Hour Game and inviting everyone to come out and play or join us in celebrating the start of the 2019 season.”
As the game goes on, Rockefeller Center will be bumping with excitement courtesy of the DJs, emcees and a sideline reporter entertaining the crowd with prizes and other surprises taking place throughout. Don't miss a chance to meet your Boys in Blue and Dome Torrent.
The Cooligans will be taking over at 2:00 a.m. and the Sesame Street characters will also be joining the fun at 11-12 p.m. on Saturday for a kids hour. The city never sleeps and nor do we!
Don't worry if you missed the registration deadline, walk-up participation is welcome! During the general game hours, players must be 18+ years of age, but all are invited to attend the event. Children participating in the kids’ hour on Saturday morning will be split into three age groups: 5-7, 8-12 and 13-17. Join the conversation on social using #SoccerNeverSleeps.
So come on out for 24-hours of soccer, fun, and endless entertainment!
