LA Galaxy (Sunday, March 11)
The Home Opener is always a hot one – and this year’s iteration should be no different. Last season NYCFC put on a dominant attacking performance – dismantling D.C. United 4-0 behind first City goals from Rodney Wallace and Maxi Moralez as well as a commonplace brace from the Captain, David Villa.
This season’s opener should be just as exciting – with the first team to win 5 MLS Cups looking to rebuild strong after finishing in last place for the 2017 Western Conference.
It will be the first chance for the faithful to get acquainted with the newest squad members, and hopefully like last season, a couple of them can make themselves feel right at home by getting in amongst the goals.
Atlanta United (Sunday, June 9)
One of last season’s home highlights had to be the 3-1 victory over league newcomers Atlanta United, featuring some of the Boys in Blues’ most dynamic goals.
It should be fireworks again in the Bronx as Tata Martino and Patrick Vieira both look to take even stronger sides into the 2018 campaign.
Toronto FC (Sunday, June 24)
The defending MLS Cup champions make their way to town on June 24 for the next chapter in a tie that always produces great intensity and quality soccer in spades.
NYCFC fans won’t soon forget getting knocked out of the 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs by Toronto, or finishing second in last season’s Supporters Shield race to the Reds.
City was able to take out the defending MLS Cup Champion Seattle Sounders last year in front of the home fans, here’s to doing it again vs. TFC. This will be a big one.
New York Red Bulls (Sunday, July 8)
After last season’s Hudson River Derby series win over the Red Bulls fans of both sides will be chomping at the bit to get back after it.
New look Red Bulls return to Yankee Stadium on Sunday July 8 – and you have a second crack at being in the building when they return again on Wednesday August 22.
Let’s keep New York blue.
Philadelphia Union (Sunday, October 28)
The 2018 regular season finale pits New York City vs. not Columbus Crew SC for the first time in our short history – shifting focus to the incoming Philadelphia Union on Sunday, October 28.
If recent seasons are anything to go by – Decision Day 2018 should be all-important for playoff seeding on the road to MLS Cup.
