David Villa is in contention to return for NYCFC’s road game at Colorado Rapids.
The team’s leading scorer sustained an injury on international duty but is now in line to return at DSG Park on Saturday evening.
Elsewhere, Alex Ring is rated as “questionable” for the Boys in Blue after missing the last two games with the toe injury which he also picked up on international duty.

There are six players definitely out of contention to play, including Miguel Camargo who is out for the season and Ronald Matarrita, who stepped up his road to recovery this week.
The Costa Rican was working with a ball once again in training this week following his fracture and will be hoping to return before the postseason.
Maxime Chanot remains on the sidelines along with Yangel Herrera, Mikey Lopez and Ethan White as NYC attempts to win a sixth road game of the season.
Andraz Struna and James Sands could make their debuts in Denver.
For Colorado, only Bobby Burling is on the MLSSoccer.com’s Injury Report as the Western Conference outfit aim to climb off the bottom of the standings with a win.
