New York City Football Club Announces 2023 Preseason Schedule 


New York, N.Y., December 15, 2022 – New York City Football Club today announced its preseason schedule ahead of the 2023 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

The ‘Boys in Blue’ kick-off training camp in Orlando departing on Thursday, January 12. While in Florida the team opens their preseason slate against Minnesota United on Wednesday, January 18 before returning home.

Preseason continues in California where the Club takes on the San Jose Earthquakes on Tuesday, January 24 in Santa Barbara. The team will then travel to Los Angeles to face the freshly minted LAFC on Saturday, January 28, in a battle of the previous two MLS Cup champions. Shortly after, on Saturday, February 4 NYCFC will face LA Galaxy.

For the final leg of the preseason NYCFC will participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. On Wednesday, February 15, NYCFC will play against expansion side St. Louis CITY as part of the invitational, followed by a friendly against USL Championship side San Diego Loyal SC. To close out their Coachella Valley participation, the ‘Boys in Blue’ will face off against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, February 18 for the first time since winning MLS Cup in 2021.
