Maxi Moralez

Maxi Moralez enjoyed another strong month in July, bringing quality and composure to the final third across all five of New York City FC’s matches.

The midfielder played a key role in consecutive road wins, first assisting Andrés Perea’s goal in Kansas City before producing two more telling contributions in Dallas.

His pinpoint corner set up Jonny Shore’s first MLS goal, and he later assisted Alonso Martínez as City edged a thrilling 4-3 victory.

Moralez’s influence was felt throughout the month, with his leadership and experience continuing to guide the team. His contributions make him a deserving nominee for Player of the Month.

Alonso Martínez

Alonso Martínez delivered a standout month in front of goal, showcasing his finishing ability in several key moments.
He opened his July account with a dramatic stoppage-time winner in Orlando, calmly slotting home to seal a 2-1 victory. His most impactful performance came in Dallas, where he scored a hat-trick to help turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-3 win.

That performance not only secured three valuable points but also took Martínez beyond 10 MLS goals for the season—marking his second consecutive double-digit campaign.

His efficiency and timing in the final third highlight his value to the squad.

Hannes Wolf

A consistent creative force, Hannes Wolf earns his third consecutive nomination thanks to his contributions on both sides of the ball.

He began July with a goal and assist in the win over Toronto, including a well-taken side volley that set the tone for the month.

After missing the trip to Kansas City through injury, Wolf returned to action against Dallas, where he provided the assist for one of Alonso Martínez’s goals.

Beyond the numbers, Wolf’s work rate and positioning have made him a key figure in City’s midfield, and his form continues to be a vital part of the team’s success in 2025.
